Selena Gomez to host 2011 MTV EMA Awards

Selena Gomez has been announced as the host of this years MTV Europe Music Awards in Belfast.

The 19-year-old singer and actress - who is set to compete for the new "biggest fans" award against her boyfriend, teen heartthrob Justin Bieber - will present the show, broadcast live on MTV on Sunday at 9pm on November 6th from Belfast's Odyssey Arena.

Selena said: "I'm so excited to be the host of the 2011 MTV EMAs - it's a dream come true!"
